1. Brand Registration (A2P 10DLC with Twilio/TCR)
Purpose
To ensure SMS deliverability and compliance, businesses using A2P messaging (Application-to-Person) must register their brand with The Campaign Registry (TCR) via Twilio.
Pre-requisites

Business must be at least 45 days old

Legal business documentation: EIN, W2, W9, CP 575, Articles of Organization

Steps to Register a Brand in Twilio:

Go to Twilio Console.

Navigate to Messaging → A2P Messaging.

Click "Register Brand".

Provide the following:

Legal Name (match EIN exactly)

Business Type (LLC, Corp, etc.)

2. A2P 10DLC Campaign Registration
Purpose
Required for all SMS campaigns using 10-digit long codes to avoid carrier filtering and ensure regulatory compliance.
Steps:

After brand registration, click “Register New Campaign”.

Select your verified brand.

Use Low Volume Mixed campaign type unless sending >3,000 messages/day.

This campaign provides SMS updates to users who opt in via our website. It includes confirmations, promotional alerts, and updates. Messages are consent-based and include opt-out instructions.

3. CNAM Registration (Caller Name Display)
Purpose
To ensure your AI cold calls are not flagged as spam and to display your company name to recipients.
Steps:

In Twilio, go to Phone Numbers → Trust Hub → CNAM Registration.

Click "Create CNAM Trust Product".

Provide:

CNAM Display Name (max 15 characters, e.g., “Wellgrow AI”)

Business Profile: Select the brand used for A2P

Phone Numbers: You may link phone numbers post-approval.

Tick the certification checkbox confirming brand legitimacy.

Submit for review.
Important: CNAM only works in the US and is subject to carrier compatibility. Registration typically takes 24–48 hours.
